GEM Diamond Policy Agora & Citizen Innovation Lab

The Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR) invited me to visually document their compelling dicussions on the subject of democracy in Europe during the GEM-DIAMOND Policy Agora Forum & Citizen Innovation Lab on Democracy and Dissensus, on January 27, 2023. I was so excited to take part in an event with such a relevant topic and also a little nervous, being the first event of this year after a long-ish break and having quite a heavy content. Academic thinkers, civil society activists, practitioners and experts from across Europe expressed their opinions on the origins, drivers, dynamics and impacts of dissensus on European democracy. I was thrilled to listen to their take on the subject, which helped me overcome the fear of the ”blank canvas” and do a solid 8 hour work of graphically capturing the content of the 4 sessions. Both me and the participants were really pleased with the result and I truely hope I contributed to the event by making the flow of ideas reach the audience somehow deeper.
